Coming Activities

Showa village is located in west side of Fukusima prefecture. It is a small village surrounded by mountains and about 1,400 people live there. It is famous for “Karamushi ori” which is handed down only there. Recently, since depopulation and aging are getting serious problem, people have to give up their cultivated land. We are going to communicate with local people and make the village more active through knowing their village and using idle land or house.
This time, we are going to plant rice byr hand! Not machine!
Get dirty by mud together!
It is big rice field, so we should get lots people and work hard.
You can invite your friends and share the great experience!

1. Meeting place: Karamushi-ori no sato (you can come by bus from Aizutajima station)
2. Meeting date and time: May 29th around 12pm
3. Finish date and time: May 30th evening
4. Things you need to bring: sleeping bag, boots, hat, gloves, rain jacket (separated one),　お泊りセット、good idea for exchange between city and rural J
5. Fee: \2,500 for member, \3,000 non-member

We are planning to hold workshop that you can study about forest while you work on.
We are going to work on with people from middle-term work shop
We are waiting for people who want to use their head and work out as well.

3. Finish date and time: May 30th at 15pm
4. Finish place: Same as meeting place
5. The things you need to bring: clothes(easy to move), sleeping bag(if you have), and 1 ingredient for dinner
6. Fee: \3,000 for a member \3,500 for non-member
7. Limit: 5people
8. Deadline: May 25th

※please be punctual. If you come from far, you need to make sure your train in advance
※Please contact to Yasuda if you will use the train that get Ishioka station at 9:31 from Tokyo and chiba in advanceMeeting place: JR Ishioka station

※They have only one gate, so we are waiting (in front of convenience store

2. Finish date and time: June 6th at around 6pm

※We try to get station to take train leaves either 6:04pm from Ishioka station or 5:59pm from Hatori station.(Both go to Ueno station)?

3. What you bring: clothes (easy to move , long sleeve and pants)

Rain jacket (the one from convenience store does not work! Should be tough one)
Changing clothes, towel,
Lunch for 1st day
Sleeping bag, boots and Japanese socks (if you have)
※you must bring your rain jacket
※After you leave Ishioka station, you cannot shop.

4.Fee: \1,500 (＋transportation)

※Ishioka station to Yasato, we will use a bus and Mr. Kazu‘s car. The bus will cost \590 for one way.
